Business Development Manager

Job Description


As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will work with the Director of Growth and the Sales Development Representatives in the Venveo sales department, to procure new business relationships and successfully onboard clients from the deal phase. As Business Development Manager you will seek out potential relationships and develop and write contracts with them. This role will help Venveo seek out the best and highest quality of business relationships within the building materials industry

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company services
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
  • Communicate customer and prospect product pain points to appropriate departments
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  • Meet and/or exceed quotas
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exhibit familiarity with the building materials industry
  • Must be able to travel within the United States, monthly basis while maintaining professional decorum, as health conditions allow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems


Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ years experience in Client Services, Sales Associate role or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of Hubspot, Dropbox, Google Products, and other PM tools 
used 

  • Proficient in general digital marketing practices and trends 

  • Proficient with LinkedIn and SalesNav
